Information - Voltaren Rapid
Diclofenac relieves pain, reduces inflammation and lowers temperature in infections of the ear, nose and throat.
Voltaren Rapid 25 is recommended for the short-term treatment of acute painful and inflammatory conditions such as ankle sprains, bruises and muscle strains; period pain, back pain and migraine headaches; post-operative pain eg. Following dental or minor surgery. Onset of pain relief is usually within 15 to 30 minutes.
Voltaren Rapid 25 is also effective in severe, painful inflammatory infections of the ear, nose or throat. In these conditions, however, you should consult your doctor as the underlying infection should also be treated.
Elderly people may be more sensitive to the effects of Voltaren Rapid 25 than other adults and should use the lowest dose for their condition. It is especially important for elderly patients to report any unwanted effects promptly to their doctor or pharmacist.
Adults: Initially 2 tablets, then if necessary, 1 or 2 tablets every 8 hours
Children over 14 years of age: 1 tablet 3 times daily. Do not exceed 6 tablets daily
