Information - Polytar Emollient
Polytar Emollient is indicated in the treatment of psoriasis, eczema, atopic and pruritic dermatoses. The use of Polytar Emollient may be combined with ultra violet radiation and other adjunctive therapy. Polytar Emollient may also be of value in removing loose psoriatic scales and pastes following dithranol treatment. Polytar Emollient is a concentrated, tar-medicated bath additive containing a unique combination of tars. Coal tar preparations have been used extensively for over 50 years in the management of various skin disorders, especially psoriasis and eczema. Tars have keratolytic, anti-pruritic and antiseptic action.
Use
Two to four capfuls of Polytar Emollient should be added to an 8 inch (20 cm) bath and the patient instructed to soak for 20 minutes.

Polytar Emollient is a concentrated, tar-medicated bath additive containing a unique combination of tars.
Important Notes
Keep out of reach of children Ingestion may result in nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. Following ingestion, administer copious quantities of water. Exercise caution when entering or leaving the bath in order to avoid slipping. If irritation occurs or persists, discontinue use. For external use only.
